Getting there

Getting to Kangaroo Island is easy with multiple daily ferry departures from Cape Jervis on the Fleurieu Peninsula and air departures from Adelaide Airport.

By car

You can bring your vehicle from the mainland on the ferry or you can hire a vehicle from Kingscote, Penneshaw or the airport. Although many roads are unsealed, four-wheel drive vehicles are not necessary and with care, you can enjoy all that the Island has to offer in a conventional vehicle.

If you intend to drive and take your car on the ferry, bookings with Sealink are essential.

If you are flying, you can hire a car from the Kingscote Airport.
